Meet ESANA’s Treasurer, Mennatallah Hussein

Menna is a first year master’s student at MIT AeroAstro. In May 2020, she got her bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering at Arizona State University. During her time at ASU, Menna researched helicon plasma thrusters, worked on the design and build of liquid rocket engines, and helped found a chapter for Women of Aeronautics & Astronautics. Before she moved to Cambridge for grad school, Menna worked at EgSA-Egyptian Space Agency as a space systems engineer.

Menna grew up in Cairo, Egypt. She is passionate about making space accessible to everyone. One thing she would like to be remembered for is increasing Arab representation in the aerospace industry.

We’re excited to have Menna in the team!
